The Raleigh's Creative District is where the concentration of Raleigh's creative class lives, works, and plays. It encompasses the southwest quadrant of Raleigh.

Creative is a homonym:

  • In the literal sense, it's Raleigh’s home of the “creative class”—the artists, craftsmen and tradesmen, thinkers, educators, innovators, designers, professionals, entrepreneurs, etc.
  • The second meaning is a clever, yet astute acronym that includes Southwest Raleigh’s Communities, Recreation, Education, Arts, Technology, Innovation, Vision, and Entertainment

The Creative District has some of the best parks, greenways, arts, and cultural amenities in the City of Raleigh, to the best places to work in the region. The district has highly diverse communities, infrastructure, architecture, and mix of housing opportunities. The Creative District has everything Richard Florida has documented to be a hub of creativity. From the urban downtown, to rural horse farm, the Creative District is unmatched in Raleigh.
