A coalition of Idahoans including students, professors, parents and community members who oppose guns on Idaho's campuses. SB1254  would allow concealed weapons and possibly open carry on Idaho college and university campuses including in day care centers and libraries. On Wednesday March 5th, Emily Walton, with the Coalition to Keep Guns Off Campus delivered a petition with nearly 3,000 signatures from Idahoans to the Speaker of the House, Scott Bedke this morning. The petition asks the Idaho House of Representatives to stop weapons from coming on Idaho campuses and to oppose SB1254.

On March 6, 2014 Idaho's House of Representatives passed the bill 50-19. The coalition is now asking for Governor Otter to veto the bill.

Also on March 6, 2014 students from Boise State University delivered 752 letters from the campus in opposition to the bill.
