Summary:

The canals and waterways surrounding Copenhagen have played large and various roles throughout its history. Canal Tours Copenhagen offers a unique view of the city that you can't necessarily get just by walking it. The boats run all year round, so no matter when you are visiting, taking a Canal Tour is always a great activity. the boats are always running. In winter the boat is heated and covered, and in summer it’s open topped allowing you to get great views of the city in any weather.

Although the tour offers great views, it’s hearing the guides that will really make for a great experience. All guides know the city very well and complimentary to the introduction of facts about the buildings and sites that are passed, they’ll also throw in their own anecdotes -- often regarding pop culture and the city. The tours have two starting points; either Nyhavn or Gammel Strand. The tour usually lasts for about an hour and goes through the canals as well as the harbor, passing such sites as the Opera House and the Little Mermaid.

For a truly unique experience there are canal tours offered on theme nights, and tours offered with dinner on board. However these tours are only available during the summer.
