This marathon has been held in Champaign since 2009. It is held the last weekend in April and is normally a great, well attended race.  Typically around 21,000 runners and walkers participate and the relatively flat course now serves as a qualifier for the Boston Marathon. There is a marathon, half marathon, relay marathon, 10K, 5K, and youth races.  Individuals can also participate in the full (5K+marathon), half (5K+half marathon) and mini (5K+ 10K) i-Challenges. The finish line is on the field at Memorial Stadium where there is food and lots of people supporting the race. The race spans across Champaign and Urbana and the majority of streets are closed down during race time. The 5K is on Friday night and the other events are on Saturday morning.

In 2012 Jason Lokwaton finished first with a time of 2:22:46.  More results can be found here: http://resultsarchive.active.com/pages/page.jsp?eventLinkageID=106163
