There are several types of libraries in Eugene-Springfield. Libraries are great for those of us that love books, but don't have a lot of money to spend at Bookstores. Making use of libraries is a great way to live cheaply since you can rent movies, use their computers, or check out books.

UO Libraries

There are several libraries on the UO campus. The Knight Library in particular can be a great study spot. Even if you aren't a UO student, you can still get a Oregon Card to use the UO library system, as long as you are an Oregon resident.

Public Libraries

• The City of Eugene maintains a library system. The Downtown Library is the main branch, with small subsidiary branches in Bethal and Sheldon. The Downtown Library is located on 10th and Olive, directly across from the Eugene Station, a major hub for the Lane Transit District.

• Springfield also has a public library, which is located inside the City Hall and open Monday through Saturday.
• The - Oregon Geneological Society maintains a library in Eugene for those interested in researching their ancestry.
