The FUNdamentalist was a newspaper "devoted to fundamental justice" produced by longtime Grand Rapids activists Jeff Smith and Richa in the 1990s. The newspaper featured a wide variety of content including news coverage of movements for social change, media analysis, poetry, and book reviews. According to the newspaper, the paper attempted "to counter major media bias, to encourage and empower those who are oppressed, and to challenge those responsible for oppression."
