17th Annual Affordable Housing Week – From Friday, May 10 through Sunday, May 19, 2013, the Department of Housing and Community Development invites the public to a variety of workshops, groundbreakings, grand openings and other events in honor of the annual Affordable Housing Week. The events are coordinated by the East Bay Housing Organizations (EBHO), an Oakland-based affordable housing advocacy consortium. This year, 20 events will take place in six cities throughout the Bay Area. The events scheduled in Oakland are:
