In 2016, Dan Fontes restored the zebras he first painted in 1984-1985. The dazzle of zebras called Animurals, found on Broadway beneath the 580 Freeway, had suffered from aging. Dan is seeking funding to restore these beautiful creatures. You could watch him working on the zebras throughout June, 2016. You can contact him at [email protected]
On August 13, 2016, the murals were re-dedicated with a celebration.
