Barclay Simpson (May 25, 1921 - November 8, 2014) was the founder of the Simpson Manufacturing company and a philanthropist.
He was born in Oakland and grew up near the Grand Lake Theater.
WWII Vet, UC Berkeley alum, past BART director (1976), donor to UC Berkeley, CCA, Girls Incorporated of Alameda County, etc.
