Are you looking for a way to give back to your community? Do you want to work with a young person who needs support, care, and a role model?
We need YOU to mentor youth impacted by substance misuse.
This is an in-person mentoring program where you will spend time in your community with your mentee exploring, talking, and learning about their needs as well as being apart of a cohort with mentors and mentees alike.
All mentors are required to complete a background check and training. And our mentoring coordinator will be available for support throughout the program. We ask that you commit to at least 2-hours per week for a full calendar year. Consistency is important to build trust between you and your mentee.
Be A Mentor was established in 1992 and is based in Hayward. We work to support youth all around the East Bay and are currently looking for volunteers to work with youth in Oakland.
