Gary George Pettis (born April 3, 1958) is a former MLB player and current MLB coach from Oakland.

He attended Castlemont High School.

After an 11 year season noted for great defense (5x Golden Glove Award), good base running (5 seasons with 40+ stolen bases), and a low batting average (.236 career average), Pettis became the 3rd base coach for the Texas Rangers.
