The Oakland Preserving Company was a cannery starting in 1891. It was on 1st street between Filbert and Linden. The directors of the company were all from San Francisco: Frederick Tillman, John Mangels, Ernest Denicke, Frederick Tillman, Jr., L.A. Marshal, and Charles Pike. 1
