The Park Street Bridge, which runs over the Oakland Estuary from Oakland to Alameda, was built under the WPA program in 1935. Spanning 372 feet, the bridge is a four-lane bascule bridge (drawbridge) that rises 17 stories over the water when fully opened.

The steel beams were manufactured by the Moore Dry Dock Company which also manufactured the beams for the High Street Bridge.
