The West Oakland Project Area Committee (WOPAC) is a neighborhood group that has been around since the sixties and has been a key player in ensuring that the concerns of the West Oakland community are represented in the City's decisions. Historically, they were a key community advisory group in the allocation of funds from the Oakland Redevelopment Agency (which was dissolved in 2012).
