Velour Live Music Gallery is a great venue that hosts shows of all kinds. Mostly it showcases local musicians but every once in a while more famous ones come, such as Damien Jurado, Matt Nathanson, and John Vanderslice. There have also been a couple movie screenings there, such as ones put out by the bands Sigur Ros and The National.
