Just north of Raleigh, Rolesville is the second-oldest town in Wake County behind the capital city.

Rolesville’s small town feel combined with its historic homes, lush parks and recreational activities makes this town a great place to live, work and play. The town is home to three public parks, a greenway system that connects in the Upper Neuse Greenway Trail, Granite Falls Swim and Athletic Club and Fantasy Lake Scuba Park just outside of town. Rolesville is also home to two elementary schools, Rolesville Elementary and Sanford Creek Elementary; in July, 2012, Rolesville Middle School will open and, in 2013 Rolesville High School will open.

In 2012, Rolesville celebrates its 175th anniversary; as one of Wake County's oldest established municipalities, the town is commemorating this milestone with a yearlong celebration with activities from historic tours to concerts in the park, all of which highlight Rolesville’s past, present and future.
