Coon Creek Trail is a hike in Montaña De Oro State Park. The Trail heads up Coon Creek Canyon alongside the winding watercourse of the year-round stream. The trail crosses six bridges over the creek through the shade of the lush riparian corridor. Willows, maples, cottonwoods, oaks, cedars and cypress grow in the canyon with "old man's beard" lichen hanging from the branches. This is definitely one of the shadier hikes in Montaña De Oro. It's a great trail to run since it is relatively flat.

Trailhead: The trail begins at the end of Pecho Valley Rd.
