Ramona St. Garden

The Ramona Street garden is the culmination of three years of research by OCE on the potential for utilizing backyards as community gardens. Over 100 hours of volunteer effort have gone into converting what was a weed-grown backyard into it’s current, flourishing state, replete with an herb garden, several small fruit trees, and eight raised beds created from salvaged lumber.

Backyard gardening has many advantages. The 1000+ sq. ft. of backyard possesses some of the finest soil in San Luis, bordering a creek. Additionally, the yard space has no gophers, deer, or other herbivores to eat your veggies.

If you live in or around the Ramona Street Community Garden, please contact us to adopt your own raised-bed today!
