West Chesterfield Community Association, Inc. (WCCA) was organized in 1956. WCCA is a State of Illinois Non-Profit Organization. The mission is to promote community awareness and to encourage involvement, as it relates to problems facing the community – and the development of potential solutions.
The West Chesterfield community is in Cook County on the South Side of Chicago, and it lies partially within both the Chatham (Area 44) and Roseland (Area 49) neighborhoods. West Chesterfield is considered to be a historically African-American area. The area is bounded by the B & O Railroad tracks on the North, 95th Street on the South, State Street along the Dan Ryan Expressway (I-90/94) on the West, and, the west side of Martin Luther King Dr. (400 E) on the East.
