Flying Cloud Farm, managed by Isaiah and Annie Louise Perkinson, produces vegetables, fruits, and flowers for local markets. All produce grown on the farm is sold directly to at farmers markets, through our 100 member CSA, to restaurants and at our self-service roadside stand. The  farm is located approximately twelve miles outside of Asheville on route 74A in the last open valley before the road climbs the mountain to Henderson County. Our farming practices rely on cover cropping, amending the soil with OMRI (Organic Materials Review Institute) approved minerals and fertilizers, annual soil testing, crop rotation, beneficial insect habitat, and careful planning for insect and weed issues. We have a personal relationship with our customers and strive to be transparent about our farming practices and farming operation.

Our farm is located in Leicester, NC on 70 acres of family farm land. The farm is home to a herd of Red Devon cattle, a Jersey milk cow, a flock of chickens, and several acres of vegetable-growing bottomland. We strive to raise food that is healthier for all of us raised in a manner easier on the environment.

Hickory Nut Gap Farm is a serene 90 acres nestled in Fairview, NC. The land itself has been farmed by owner Jamie Ager’s family since 1916. Jamie and his wife Amy have been raising beef cattle, pigs, poultry, and organic produce at Hickory Nut Gap since 2000.

Hickory Nut Gap Farm is more than a collection of pastures. It’s a gathering place for neighbors, visitors, and families — spend time picking berries, frolic in the creek, and get a firsthand view of a local food system and the animals we raise.
