The Lakeshore District of Oakland lies along the Eastern side of Lake Merritt.
The Lakeshore Business Improvement District is Oakland's first. It covers the commercial district that includes Lakeshore Avenue from Highway 580 to Mandana and Lakeview Avenue from Lakeshore to Grand Avenues: www.lakeshoreoakland.com. The Lakeshore and Grand Avenue commercial districts are two separate entities.
